Reducing Anxiety : Taking it one day at a time

Even for people who do not suffer from anxiety our current world is filled with news that worries us to our very core. Never mind people who feel anxiety when life is more normal. It’s a strange , challenging and scary world we have all found ourselves in.

So much of feeling anxious is rooted in an inability to control what is going on around us. If Covid-19 has taught me anything it is that there is just so much that I CAN’T CONTROL. But I can control my own environment, even if that currently extend to the walls of my apartment. I can control what I watch, follow and read. I also practise daily breathing, meditation and visualisations which help me bring my stress levels down and enable me to feel more capable of dealing with all that is happening.

I continue to do my free breathing and relaxation session via zoom every Thursday. These sessions are aimed at pregnant people but can help anyone. I have gotten some really positive feedback which spurs me on to create scripts that people will find helpful. My most recent session ( Below) is particularly useful for anyone who wishes to feel more in control of negative thoughts and feelings.
